Keynesian Economics: The Failure That Keeps On Failing...

RWN has a post on The Obomination's economic strategy.

Michelle Malkin posts on debunking the Keynesian economic myth.

RedState adds a video interview on the subject.

Erik at The Daily Eudemon breaks it down even further.

This continued federal spending is going to make the ecomony even worse than it already is.  And the Dems have controlled the purse strings for the past two years already.  Aren't the Baby Boomers close to retirement age?  So that means a budget-busting Social Security & Medicare, too?

*sigh*

So He Wants to Close Gitmo, huh???

What a friggin' idiot!

The Obomination's gonna get us killed.  Here's more.

First two executive acts by this false messiah:  taxpayer funding for abortion overseas (FOCA is next) and closing Gitmo.

Meanwhile, he blows off the Medal of Honor Recipients inaugural ball.

I repeat... what a friggin' idiot!

The Republican Party and Society At-Large...

Flopping Aces has a long post on the Republican Party's history. (It's a must-read!)

It also includes this great new video from The Zo:

Hugh Hewitt links to a post on the Republican Party vs. the Democrats and marketing.

HotAir links to a two-part video of a Rush Limbaugh interview where he responds to The Obomination's personal attack.

And the Anchoress links to this post at Catholic Exchange, which talks about the "alien nation".

Roe, Doe and The Obomination...

This past Thursday was the 36th anniversary of the horrendous Roe vs. Wade, and it's companion Doe vs. Bolton, U.S. Supreme Court decisions which legalized abortion in this country.  Since then, more than 50 million babies have been slaughtered in the name of "choice".

Father Trigilio (from EWTN) has a sobering post.

Leon at RedState also has a post remembering the fateful decision.

Capt. Ed at HotAir has another post on the subject, and also talks about the up-coming film 22 Weeks.

Gateway Pundit highlights The Obomination's executive order to allow tax-payer funding of abortions overseas.

Jeff Miller at Curt Jester also comments on this executive order.

L.A. Catholic chimes in.

So does Julie at Happy Catholic, who highlights this powerful new video from CatholicVote.com:

Osama Taunts Obama...

(Via Gateway Pundit)

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden releases a new audio message in which he asks if America is still capable of fighting after the Bush administration. He also calls for jihad against Israel and concludes with a challenge to the incoming Obama administration.

Osama Bin Laden quoted Joe Biden and looks excitedly past the Bush Administration in a message released today on Islamist websites.

Guantanam-uh-oh...

Barack Obama plans to order the Guantanamo Bay "war on terror" detention camp closed on his first full day in office, the New York Times reported Tuesday, citing people briefed by Obama transition officials.
If this is true, it will bite him in the a** big time and this country will pay a heavy price for it.

UPDATE:  Just a little while after I posted the above, THIS comes across the wires:

The Pentagon said on Tuesday that 61 former detainees from its military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, appear to have returned to terrorism since their release from custody.

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said 18 former detainees are confirmed and 43 suspected of "returning to the fight."

He said the figures, updated at the end of December, showed a higher rate of recidivism than seen in a previous report showing 37 former detainees as active militants.

Unemployment Rate same as Clinton's...

(Per Gateway Pundit)

Gee... guess what?  The recent unemployment rate of 7.2% matches the highest rate during the Clinton Administration.  Also, the 8-year average for Bush (5.2%) is the same as the 8-year average for Clinton.  And Bush had to deal with the after effects of the Dot Com bust, plus 9/11 and two wars.  But the MSM certainly don't want to tell you that, because you just know that we are in the nation's worst depression is U.S. history... because they said so.

The Auto Bailout as Explained by Calvin & Hobbes...

RedState had a great post on Saturday of an old Calvin & Hobbes comic strip which explains the auto industry government bailout perfectly!

California History Lesson...

Got this via email from a friend:

A HISTORY LESSON

Do you know what happened back in 1850?  159 years ago California became a state.  The State had no money.   Almost everyone spoke Spanish.  There were gunfights in the streets.

So basically, it was just like it is today, except the women had real breasts and the men didn't hold hands.

Blago, Hsu, Richardson, Panetta & The Obomination...

Michelle Malkin has a post with updates on the Blago fiasco.

Gateway Pundit has a post on Obama's connection to Norman Hsu.

Flopping Aces has a post on Obama's connection to Richardson's "pay to play" fiasco.

Then we have Hot Air posting on the insane appointment of Panetta to head the CIA.

Change-ish!

Prayers for Fr. Neuhaus!!!

Rocco @ Whispers has a disheartening post (via NRO's The Corner) that Fr. Neuhaus (Editor-in-Chief of First Things) appears to be on his deathbed, having received Last Rites shortly after midnight this early morning.

His friends and family are keeping vigil and he was administered last rites shortly after midnight. Fr. George Rutler, who gave him the Catholic Sacrament, says that “he is not expected to live long” and suggests “that it is appropriate that prayers be offered for a holy death.”
