Random reflections and contemplative thoughts, spiritual insights and humorous anecdotes, fickle film reviews and rambling music musings, occasional (okay, more than occasional) societal and political rants, and a whole lot more... all from the point of view of a humble, constitutional, common sense, conservative, Catholic, work-in-progress kinda guy who never gives up hope, because to be without hope is to become selfish.
Big whoop! The Obamessiah gets to replace one liberal with another. Start sweating when Scalia or Thomas start to think about hanging it up before 2012.
With McCain we would've had a better chance of getting a replacement judge who would be an originalist/constructionist/natural law replacement to join with Thomas, Scalia, Roberts and Alito. And with Ginsburg in her mid 70s battling cancer, and with Stevens well into his 80s, we would've had the opportunity to replace all three liberal justices with quality appointments in this first term.
Instead, because too many conservative voters had a hissy fit and stayed home last November, and too many "moderates/centrists" voted for Mr. HopeNChange-ish, we're going to be stuck with a liberal/activist court for many, many years to come.
